How to film a swing Coach can actually use
- Film from the side the hitter faces and from directly behind, chest high
- Hold the phone sideways and keep it steady; no zoom
- Keep the whole body and the bat in frame through the finish
- For SwingChecker™ V: film at normal speed (not slow motion), one full swing per clip, 5–45 seconds, only the hitter in frame
- For Private Coaching: record 5 swings off a tee, then 5 off front toss or live pitching; slow motion (120 or 240 fps) is fine here
- Use the same angles every time, so progress is visible
What we look for
The 4 pillars: swing structure and Mechanically Advantaged Angles (MAA), strength and explosiveness, the Hitting Processor (timing and decisions) and the mental approach. A tee swing only shows the first one — that’s why game at-bats matter.
